5 Days to Reset a Wardrobe That No Longer Supports Your Real Life
There’s a very specific frustration that comes with standing in front of a full closet and still feeling like you have nothing to wear.
And that frustration isn't because you don't like clothes or don't care about how you look.
It is born out of the fact that what you own no longer lines up with who you are or how your life actually functions.
I know that feeling well.
Because I’ve lived it. More than once.
I know what it's like to outgrow a wardrobe.
I’ve rebuilt my wardrobe through career changes, through pregnancy and motherhood, through seasons where my body changed, and through moments when my visibility and profile increased faster than my closet could keep up.
And every time, my frustration looked the same:
What I learned—both personally and through more than a decade of styling clients—is this:
Most wardrobe problems aren’t about bad style. They’re about structure.
That's where The Style Lab comes in.
This Isn’t a Style Challenge.
And It’s Not a Makeover.
Let’s clear some things up about The Style Lab nice and early.
You will not be given outfits.
You will not be told what to buy.
You will not end this week with a brand-new wardrobe.
This is not about wearing the latest trends, aesthetics for aesthetics’ sake, or chasing an aspirational version of yourself.
This is about fixing a wardrobe that no longer supports the life you’re actually living.
When a wardrobe doesn't work, it costs you.
Not just money (though that part matters). It costs you:
Over shopping isn’t the disease. It’s the symptom.
The real issue is the absence of a style system that supports the very real life that you live every single day.
What is the style lab and why does it work?
The Style Lab is a five-day, live experience where I walk you through how to:
The Style Lab is not about throwing out your entire wardrobe and starting from scratch. Instead, we are focus on rebuilding your wardrobe as a place of both self-expression and infrastructure that is designed to support every aspect of your life with consistency and reliability.
Meet Your Stylist
Erika Cartledge
I’m Erika Cartledge, personal stylist, wardrobe strategist, and the founder of The YCS Styling Agency.
For more than a decade, I’ve worked with professionals, entrepreneurs, and leaders whose lives grew faster than their wardrobes could keep up. People who weren’t “bad at style,” but who were tired of overthinking their clothes and wanted their wardrobe to finally work the way their life does.
I didn’t start this work because I loved shopping or trends (though, I do love shopping!). I started it because I experienced firsthand what happens when your wardrobe stops supporting who you are and how you live your life.
I’ve rebuilt my own wardrobe through career changes, motherhood, evolving leadership roles, and seasons of increased visibility and growth. And every time, the challenge wasn’t finding better clothes, it was learning how to make clear, intentional decisions about what belonged in my closet and why.
That lived experience is what shapes how I work with my clients. My approach blends:
I don’t believe in handing people outfits or chasing after trends. I teach clients how to think about their wardrobe so it becomes a form of support, not stress. And that’s exactly what you’ll experience inside The Style Lab.
If you’ve outgrown your wardrobe and you’re ready to stop guessing, you’re in the right place.
Erika’s expertise has been featured in WSJ, Forbes, Glamour, and Brides, and she has styled clients across industries, career stages, and seasons of life.
This experience is for you if:
It may not be your thing if you are:

day 01
Your Wardrobe Is Underperforming
We’ll identify how your wardrobe is quietly draining your time, energy, and money—and why this has nothing to do with discipline or effort.
day 02
expression needs structure
Your style still matters. But without structure, expression doesn’t land. This day is about learning how to package who you are in a way that actually works for your life.
day 03
the edit
You’ll walk through a strategic closet edit to identify what supports you, what distracts you, and what’s quietly costing you space.
day 04
the gap problem
We’ll address why shopping hasn’t worked—and how to distinguish between emotional wants and functional gaps so you stop buying the wrong things.
day 05
why doing this alone hasn't worked
You’ll understand why insight without support stalls out and what changes when decision-making isn’t done in isolation.
community & support
When you join The Style Lab you'll be a part of a private Facebook group where:
The group is deeper than posted outfits, shopping links or a bunch of unnecessary noise.
This isn’t about a quick fix or just purging your closet. This is about creating a style that truly reflects who you are and where you’re headed.
upgrade your experience with guided support
The Style Lab will give you clarity in your wardrobe. Adding Guided Implementation will help you but what you learn into practice with me by your side.
If you tend to stall once your new insights force you to make decisions—or you know you want support as you’re working through the week—you’ll want to upgrade before The Style Lab begins.
Guided Implementation is a limited add-on available only before the Lab starts. Once the week begins, this option closes.
Your upgrade includes:
Access to a live, 90-minute Guided Implementation Session at the end of the week
WhatsApp access throughout The Style Lab for real-time clarification and support
Guidance on what to act on now and what to leave alone
Support making decisions without panic shopping or second-guessing
Lifetime access to session replay
faqs
Is this really free?
Yes! The Style Lab is free to attend.
How much time will this take each day?
Plan for about 20-30 minutes total for your video lesson and completing your workbook exercises.
Do I need to shop during The Style Lab?
No. In fact, I recommend that you don't.
Is this the same as working 1:1 with a stylist?
No; however, this experience will likely show you why this kind of support matters to your style.
What if I fall behind?
You will have access to the materials throughout the duration of the Style Lab and will be able to move at your own pace.
ready to stop guessing?
If you're tired of overthinking your wardrobe, buying clothes you never wear, and trying to figure out how to elevate your style alone then The Style Lab was built for you.
here's what our clients have to say:
[Erika] helped me see how I could use what I already had and exposed some of the gaps I had in my closet.
The materials were really clear to understand, the tasks were manageable and built on one another, so the full experience felt cohesive.
I gained clarity about my personal goals and I was able to create outfits with combinations I would have never considered before
you don't need a new wardrobe; you need a better one.
A working wardrobe doesn’t change who you are . . . Your clothing just stops getting in your way.
